I currently have my wii plugged in via component, and my 360 plugged in via vga, which is in turn has its audio attached to a coupler, which then has a cord going down to my line in into my SB Audigy. I didn't touch anything in my creative control panel, so I don't think I am getting 5.1. (PS- i have a bleh logitech z-640 5.1)

Anyways my issue is that It is a pain in the ass switching around audio connectors with the coupler between the wii and 360... is there anything I can buy to prevent me from always fiddling around with my cables? Is there a way I can plug in an optical cable from my mobo to the 360 without any interference issues with the audigy? Thanks in advance.

Probably not going to work to plug into your motherboard and try to get audio out the audigy. Does your motherboard even have optical input (not just output)

If you want something that will really make all this easy and get a better end result while you're at it, a set of speakers like z-5500s or z-680s would make hooking this up a lot easier.
