Audio Speaker Cable needed

I wanna plug one set of speakers into 3 pc's all fairly close to each other with sound cards, is there a special cable i can get and where do i get it ?

The folks at Radio Shack just say "huh?"

Please post links to places that sell this

You will will need some sort of switch box to connect 1 set of speakers to 3 PCs. You can't do it just with cables - in effect you would be wiring together the outputs of the 3 PCs, and they will be VERY VERY VERY unhappy about that, even when only 1 PC is turned on. Most electronic devices will self-destruct when fed a high-level signal into their output, and your sound cards are no exception.

A good general wiring rule is that it's OK to split outputs (i.e., 1 PC to 3 pairs of speakers) but never split inputs (i.e., 3 PCs to 1 pair of speeakers).

some speakers do have the ability to take multiple inputs.

what you should do is get an electronic or manual switch for the speakers.

the overload from all 3 pcs at once to the speakers will kill them.

there is no fry's near me, does radio shack sell audio switch boxes, dont see them listed on there web site.

if anyone can provide a place that sells such a device, manual or electronic switch box, please let me know.

dont want to damage my speakers or audio cards.

Just get a video switch box from Radio Shack and don't connect the video.
