audio software for a myriad of uses-repost

I am looking for an audio program(s) that will do the following:
1. Record music in WAV with Roland Edirol R-09 digital audio recorder: I would like to edit out crowd noise (individual voices), peak distortion, & some lengthy monologues leaving the recording intact as far as continuity. Which is the best software to do this?
2. Rip audio from dvd's
3. Convert analog tracks from LPs & cassettes to mp3 or WAV to store on HD, have turntable, preamp with phono jack) also cleaning up hiss & pops
4. Convert WAV to flac or mp3
5. Record streaming audio to my HD
I know this is a large wishlist & not 1 single software will do all ably so I would like to know which ones would do the best job in each task?
I have a laptop, 2gz dual core, 2 gb RAM, 200 gb HD, XP SP2, Echo Indigo IO soundcard
Thank-you for any & all help

1, 2, 3, and 4 can all be done with cubase sx, le or cakewalk. Also protools le would be fine. Any multitrack audio software can do this. 5, For streaming audio there is software that does that as stand alone.
