Audio Slider to 0 (no sound)

Hello, I need help with a very frustrating problem. I have a problem that just popped up the last couple of days with my system sound. The sound slider in the system tray / realtek driver keeps dropping to "0" and muting all sound?

I uninstalled the realtek device in the device manager and rebooted. The sound worked for about 10 minutes and then started doing the same thing?

I have the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard with the realtek high def audio. I am using windows 7 64 bit. I have tried toggling settings but, can't find a solution?

Sounds like you have another program running that is setting the volume to 0. Try closing all programs and system tray apps and see if the problem persists. Also, try using a basic keyboard with no volume control, as something may be going haywire there.

Holy crap... It was my key board. I just tested it and now I can only control the sound on the keyboard (go's to 0 unless I turn it up with the keyboard, no matter what I do with the mouse). Thanks for the info!!!
