Audio Recording Software

Hey, I'm looking for some really great audio recording software that is very user friendly yet very powerful. Thought this would be the best place to ask. Thanks.

What will you be recording..? is this studio type work or recording from streams?

It won't be studio, mainly live things such as band performances and what not.

audacity is a good recommendation, expecially cause its free.

cool edit pro or adobe audition is really easy and a good program as well.

i use sonar by www.cakewalk.com it is a great program but may be overkill for your needs.

oh also check out N-track. it is a well designee program for a great price.

Ok, I have a great prog to recommend for stream recording, but that's not what you are looking for. Good luck!
