Audio Recording Freeware

I am taking my laptop to class this semester and want to record my instructor's lectures to disk instead of my little tape recorder. I know that windows had a time limitation in the past and I was wanting something that could say record a 2 hour lecture to something that I could convert to MP3 later if I wanted (maybe wav) Is there some freeware or cheapeware that will do this???

Audacity will do this, and let you edit it later Will save to any format that you have a codec installed for (mp3, wav, ogg, etc)
