Audio quality loss from headphone out instead of line out?

My monitor has builtin speakers and a headphone out jack that I'm using to plug in to my external computer speakers. The reason why I plug it into the monitor headphone out instead of my PC line out is because I switch between the PC and Macbook. My Macbook plugs into the monitor via USB C and the PC via DisplayPort. I don't have to switch any cables and just switch the display via the monitor controls when I wanna switch between PC/Mac.
I was wondering is there any audio quality loss if I use headphone out from my monitor instead of my PC line out?

Rarely is the signal as good as when you plug the headphones / speakers directly into the audio card / motherboard audio jacks.

Usually the cable from the front of the PC that runs to the sound source is rather cheap, and unshielded. I would imagine they do something similar in your monitor, but the only way to know for sure is to: A. Test it out. B. Open the monitor and see what's in there.
