Audio problems..anyone heard of this?? MSI K8N+AMD3200+

I just bought a new MSI K8N Plat with the AMD 3200+..it has integrated 7.1 audio. Not sure if it's the integrated audio, but in windows, whenver I minimize or maximize a window i hear a faint beep from my speakers!

There are no sounds configured in Windows for Mimimize/Maximize...and the noise is a lot fainter compared to the actual volume of my system.

Anybody heard of this? I guess i might have to stick my old Audigy in my new PC.

Go to your device manager, and, under the view menu, choose "show hidden devices." Now scroll down to Non Plug and Play drivers, and see if you have a "Beep" option. Open the properties for this, and click on the driver tab. You should see a startup section. Scroll down the list here, and choose disabled. This will disable the annoying system beeps.

I gave that a try, and it didn't seem to help. The Beep object controls the system speaker I believe, and these sounds make a faint noise whenever minimizing/maximizing thru my main system speakers.

Thanks for the suggestion. Anyone else have any ideas?
