Audio player with automatic gain control

Does anyone know of an audio player that has AGC (automatic gain control)?

When I play music stored on my computer in the m4a, wav, and wma formats, one song could be too soft and another song too loud. I don't want to adjust the volume in an audio editor and save the file because there are too many files. I want a player that can automatically make soft songs louder and loud songs softer.

Does such an audio player for a Windows XP, Vista or Win7 exist?

VLC and Media Player Classic both do that.
I like to use Media Player Classic with ffdshow codecs:
ffdshow codecs
Media Player Classic

It works great for those terribly done movies that switch between inaudible and loud enough to wake up everyone in the house.

AGC for movies sounds mighty good. Is the MPC-HC 32bit (x86) you linked to the ffdshow codec? Just install Media Player Classic and MPC-HC 32bit (x86) and good to go?

Thanks,
