I am a student, and have little money and a small room, however, I'd like to get the best sound possible out of what I have. My friend gave me his sony system a while ago. It's one of those all in one bookshelf stereos with a 50+1 cd changer, 2 decent sized speakers, a center and two rears- all pro logic. I think in total, the system is 280 watts, 100 for the center, 30x2 for the rears and 60x2 for the left and right. The sounds doesn't sound that great, but I'm not sure what I should change to make it better. I know the speakers don't reach 20 khz and the pro logic sounds awful, so I thought getting a subwoofer might help. My only problem is I only have 300 bucks to spend on this, I really dont want to spend more than 100. I know this isn't much, but I really dont have much. I have a computer with a good speaker with optical output and dd decoding also if that helps at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much.
