Hello everyone, I'm looking for an audio card under $35 before shipping that will offload any or most audio processing from my CPU. As it is I'm marginally happy with my OB sound, so I'm not too finiky about sound quality.

I'm looking for some suggestions and my primary concern is simply audio offloading. Sound quality and low price would be great bonuses though. Any suggestions? I'd be ordering from the US, Florida more specifically. I haven't any experience with audio cards and the only one I've ever owned was a 16bit ISA card. Some general tips would be greatly appreciated also, or some keywords to google.

Your Best Buy sound alternatives.

The only reason I point this out is that in a rush I snagged the Dynex 5.1 card on sale for 20 bucks (for the optical out). It worked. Not an X-Mystique by any means. I think it has a Via chipset.
