audio issues

Hey guys I have had an issue pretty much since I built my new PC where the R. speaker drops in and out depending on volume and the left speaker goes in and out of static when adjusting the volume. I end up finding a "sweet spot" on the volume control where both speakers work but the R. speaker still drops in and out. this happens when i plug in my headset using the front audio input as well although using the headset both speakers work they just have static when I adjust the volume. I have just lived with it since last year but I figured I may as well post on here and see if you guys have heard of this issue before. here's my current rig.

case- INWIN GRone
MB- Asus rog maximus hero vii
CPU- intel 4790k w/ coolermaster hyper212EVO cooler
GPU- MSI GTX1080
hdd- WD black 2tb
s2d- samsung 850evo 250gb

and the speakers are logitec z553's and the headset is a Razer Kraken 7.1

I feel this is a mother board issue, any insight into this or way to verify my issue?

double check all connections and maybe re-plug the HD audio connector onto the appropriate header on the board.

audio can be finicky but if you adjust the volume and get a lot of static that typically means a cable is worn or the speaker is on its way out. you might be able to install a new HD audio driver but that rarely fixes this sort of issue, unless they really fudged the encoding or something but that's unlikely.

I will try this when I get home, thanks!
