I have an ASUS AMD Crosshair V Formula motherboard that has always given me "pops" in the audio. So a few years ago I bought an HTC Omega 7.1 Striker. This is hooked up optical to logitech Z-680s.

Now that I have reinstalled Windows, when I test the audio by clicking on speakers, the Logitech panel flips to DIGITAL with the Dolby logo. But when games fire up the logo goes to "STEREO" and that's all I get 🙁
 
I fixed it. All i had to do was fight with it for 3 hours (multitasking) and then write for help on two forums LOL
