Audio issues on an ASUS board

So heres the deal:

New build. Everyone is happy. Everything running fine. I updated my wireless card driver and rebooted, when I did my audio was gone (on board). So I think "meh whatever, I'll reinstall the audio driver" So I do. Nothing. Then I look and see that there is no light coming from the optical out. Thinking on my feet, I swap out the optical cable for some standard white bread speaker cable. Nothing. No sound still.

Does anyone have anything?

The board is an ASUS M3A -Deluxe
