Audio Issue on HTPC

The HDMI out (ASRock H67 mini-ITX) on my mobo goes into my receiver (Denon AVR2310) and from there to the speakers. I have my inputs set correctly.

When I watch a movie in Media Center, the audio works correctly. When I try and listen to music in Zune or even test the system, I just get silence. Every once in a while I touch something audio related (on the computer) and the speakers blare music because I forgot it was still playing.

Thoughts...ideas about why this is happening?
