audio interference on my CB radio due to engine noise

how do i stop this? whenever i hit the gas it makes a really loud hissing noise through the speaker...wtf?


what kind of filter do i need to buy?

check your spark plug wires, then your plugs. if thats ok you might have a bad diode in your alternator.

Other then that you might want to ask on a CB forum you can try World Wide CB Radio Forum They'll set you up good!

here is one but there are many

another but 10 amp

this one works well

i think i have a bad diode in the alternator anyways...

when the battery dies, once i finally get it started, the second i let off the gas it does if i havent run the truck for at least 20 minutes to recharge the battery


im pretty sure that means a dead diode




the same radio did the same thing in another car though, so i dont think that is the problem
