OK, for about the last month I've been gettting small little popping noises from my speakers. Actually it's more like a small tck tck type of sound. I have no idea what's causing it. They pop even at boot up when the bios is just coming on. They pop when I'm using the system and when I don't use the system. The problem is'nt constant. Sometiimes I won't hear anything for an hour or so, or even a day or two, but then it starts again. It does it when playing games and when listening to music as well. Any help? I'm using a SB live and win XP with the most recent drivers. Thanks

Seems like static....make sure the cable is in all the way on both ends. Cell phones make noise but not popping.

I've heard of problems with SB cards and WinXP lately. It might just be unavoidable until better drivers come out.

VIA chipset?
I could never get my SB live to work with via, so I got a GTXP
