we're having a group project for one of my classes and decided to make a video. my friend used a camcorder and captured the video/audio to his computer. he then transferred it to my computer.

it looks great, but the audio has a fuzzy high-pitched sound to it, kinda hard to explain the sound. i was wondering if there was any audio editing software that i can use to improve the quality somehow.

People usually recommend audacity for a free audio editor, though I haven't tried it myself.

search audacity for a bunch of threads mentioning it.

I use Audacity, and I rather like it. It has integrated support for Ogg and mp3, which is nice.

I not only recommend audacity, I use it. I dumped my less than legal audio editor in favor of this software. :)
