SB Audigy 2 ZS
Win XP- 2 OS's one on one HDD, one on the Other. Problem only occurs on ONE system.

At boot up, Audio works completely fine but quickly goes away. Problem started when using BF2, sound would work fine until the main menu loaded then it would be gone.

Driver seemed to be fine and update, I reinstalled it though. Device Manager has it listed and working properly but If i go to Sound and Audio Devices Properties, the Audio tab no devices are listed. But in the hardware tab the card is listed.

What does NOT make sense is that there are 2 versions on windows on this computer and one runs absolutely fine, but the other one does not.

iTunes - At startup reports "detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video may not operate properly."

WMP - "problem with your sound device."

Please help me out!.. no sound = no games!

In the hw tab, try uninstalling it.
any mention of audio - uninstall - including drivers. If pci sound, then whip it out of the case.
Reboot in BIOS and disable audio, reboot into windows.
See if there is any mention of audio in device manager.
If not, then re-enable sound if onboard or put soundcard back in and start from scratch reinstalling.

See what happens.
