Audio CD's come out with 'skipping'

I have a 24x Lite-on CD-RW & no matter what burn speed I try (24x - 2x), I end up with little skips in the CD-R's when I play them back. Any ideas? btw, I'm using Nero 5.5.

Are you doing anything while you're burning? I know the drive is has Smart-Burn technology, but doing something on your computer might be a factor. Also, which program are you using to convert your MP3s to WAVs? Try changing the program and see if that works. Hope this helps.

I think he is using Nero to do it all....should I have him use winamp to convert them first?

Sure, give it a shot. If he's using Windows XP, he can also try using Windows Media Player to make an audio CD.
