You should be able to. You would need to go into Device Manager to switch back and forth between active audio cards:
Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager.

I had the exact same reaction, lol.

Bolas, if there aren't any specific uses for the cards, then I'd say just go with the cheaper one. Either would be better than whatever your motherboard alone has to offer.
