Audio Cables

Why r creative audio cables for 7.1 systems 3->4 connectors. What if i use 4 stereo cables instead. Any ideas

Your question lacks details so it is very hard to understand. Can you clarify?

It won't work. Because one cable carries the signals for the FC/SW/SL one carries RR/SR/RL and the last one carries FL/FR. So notice that the first 2 cables have to be 3 pole connectors to be able to carry 3 signals. If you use a stereo cable you will be missing one of the signals.
