Audio cable for iphone 4?

I have been trying to find an audio cable (3.5mm i think) to use with the iphone 4 (with bumper). I had been using an old cable from my computer speakers (its to plug into the AUX jack on my car), but with the bumper, the cable wont connect all the way.

Does anyone know of an audio cable that will work with the bumper?

Maybe one that states that it works with the original iPhone? Since that one had a recessed jack, it should work with the bumper.
 
I just bought a cheaper cable from radio shack and shaved back the excess plastic with a dremel. This is assuming that you can't find one or if you do it's more expensive.
 
Thanks for the idea, I bought an adapter on amazon that is supposed to work with the recessed jack. I'll let everyone know if it works.

This post reminds me of the original iPhone and my travails with trying to use Sennheiser headphones...the good old days.

Hope the adapter works. I may have to look into that for the ol' iPhone...

It's like when I try to use my Grado cans on my iPhone, I have to use an intermediary cable to actually plug them in. The problem is that the Grados have like 5' cable, plus the 12-18" on the intermediary, the cable becomes crazy long for something sitting on the desk 2' from me.
 
theres an aux cable at my local corporate at&t store that fits in with the bumper on, its $15. or as gorcorps stated, I also took an existing aux cable I had laying around and used a utility blade to cut off some of the excess plastic (about 2mm or so I cut off using a util blade) and now it fits in my phone and works fine with the bumper on it. altho if you already ordered one of the adapters for the 2g iphone (recessed jack) then that should also work just fine.

Haha, I route the cable around my coffee cup positioned to the left of my keyboard. Grado thick cable is pretty much a beast to deal with. Plus even when the headphones are turned to the most correct orientation (they spin freely about the vertical axis) the leads going to the earpieces tend to try to come together and cross over each other.

But the sound is very good. And I can hear people approach me from behind; I don't want to be surprised by anyone and also don't want to be perceived as ignoring visitors.
