I have read that Audigy2 ZS can decode DTS, but when I select that DTS track in PowerDVD I don't hear anything. Here's what I've tried:

1 - Enable SPDIF pasthrough on PowerDVD (as suggested by other forums), but I don't see any message that the sound card is decoding.
2 - Disable the AC3 filter for DTS.

I'm don't know where to go next, please help. Thanks

Enabling passthrough will send the DTS track over the S/PDIF output to an external receiver to be processed there. Is that what you want, or do you want the Audigy2 to do the decoding and play it out over its analog outputs?

Setting PowerDVD to SPDIF passthrough disables its decoder. Of course any others must likewise be disabled (AC3 filter, fddshow, MPC internal). Creative's decoder must then be enabled from AudioHQ or the Audio Console. There won't be any message from the sound card to see.

BUMP for help. Is there any special step needed to do to play DTS sound track via PowerDVD and Audigy2 ZS?

Are you using an nVidia card? If so, why even bother with PowerDVD? TheatreTek supports PureVideo scaling which looks a lot nicer IMHO.

So you have DTS passthrough turned off? Does your version of PowerDVD support that? The free DVD players that come with burners usually don't

I'm using ATI x800 pro, and my PowerDVD is version 6.0, it has the option to turn on/off DTS, so I'm guessing it supports that. Does ZS naturally support DTS?

Yeah it is included. Do you not see it in the panels as previously described?

Why do you even want to use Audigy's when those included with PowerDVD offer more options and the ability to be used with any player?

TheaterTek seems scammy since they charge $70 for NV's $20 decoder package and a redundant player.

What kind of receiver/speakers are you connecting to the Audigy? Are you connecting through SPDIF (digital)? What I understood is that if you want the Audigy ZS to decode DTS, sound will be heard from the 5.1/6.1 analog outputs only. So if you have a receiver, you need to use the 5.1 direct(analog) inputs.
