Audigy2 value (SB0400)

Is the SB0400 audigy2 value a crippled version of the audigy2?
Does it have hardware acceleration? I remembered the LS version did not. What are the disadvantages of getting a value in summary? The many CL versions are confusing.

And finally how are the drivers for the ENVY24PT cards holding up (eg Chaintech AV710)? Have they kept pace with EAX etc?

iirc the lesser version lacks the firewire port.

A search revealed that the value version might not be able to use ZS drivers. I'm not sure if it means that the hardware is less capable in some way (not just the missing firewire/gameport).
