Audigy xgamer and xp pro????

Heres the deal. My brother has the audigy xgamer and he is getting a free upgrade to win xp pro with his new computer. I've heard these 2 have some problems together. How commom are the problems with these 2? Should he risk upgrading his system to xp pro? Or stick with his current stable system with Win 98 SE?

My Audigy X-Gamer works like a charm under WinXP Pro.. IF he decides to go to WinXP Pro, I'd suggest a CLEAN full install to ensure there is no BS..

My audigy OEM works perfect in XP pro

Same combo here, besides the rare pop, it seems to work fine. One game(Viper Racing) has messed up a0udio though(everything sounds fuzzy).

Whatever you do, don't do just an upgrade, a full install will save you many headaches.
