Hi all, I just picked up an Audigy. I had a SB live! value, I uninstalled that via the DM. Powered off and installed the Audigy. Powered on, said no to installing the drivers and installed via the CD. I rebooted, then installed the driver update from Creative, then rebooted again. The sound problems I was experiencing in basically the only two games I play is fixed. However, I also use a few chat programs for online gaming, they are now giving me hell. I can't even use gamevoice, and here's the reason. When I go to control panel -> sound -> voice tab -> test hardware, I get an error saying "Your sound hardware cannot play sounds." My sound is working fine, I can't figure this out. Because of this error I can't use MS Gamevoice, this has to work for gamevoice to work. I couldn't find anything relevant on the MS site, or here in the forums. I found one post with a guy who had no sound, and it never said if he fixed it.
Tell me, could this be some interference from the Live! drivers? I have no crackling or popping with MP3's or games at all. Everything seems great except for this, and the fact that the old "battlecom" chat program now breaks up all to hell with this card. It worked fine with the Live! card....guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.
