Audigy or Game Theater? (Mostly for games)

I'm thinking of buying a new soundcard, pretty much just for the hell of it. I've seen similar topics posted before, but they were mostly talking about comparing them for outputs or DVD/music playback. I just want to talk about games.

Right now I have the original SB Live! X-Gamer (Original as in the one without Dolby 5.1). I'm looking at the Hercules Game Theater XP and the Soundblaster Audigy Value (or Audigy X-Gamer, but if there's no difference, between the X-Gamer and Value other than bundled software then I don't need to waste extra money.)

What I want is superior 3D positional sound, specifically for games. I've heard that the 3D sound in the Audigy series of cards isn't as good as the Game Theater XP. Is that true? I like how the XP has the breakout box, but I don't really need it.

I have my credit card standing by and my wallet is shivering.

I've own both the Herc GTXP and an Audigy. For games, I prefer the Audigy. For .mp3's and headphones, I prefer the GTXP.

I as well have the Game theater xp and the audigy x-gamer ( on seperate systems ) I would say that
the game theater sounds much better. Both computers have the same set of speakers. I do however like the firewire port that is built in the x-gamer. and I find the xp breakout box to be quite usefull , except the underpowered usb ports.😉
