After you update your drivers which is a very good idea, you have to download and install the updates for creative taskbar if you have it installed, surround mixer update if you have it installed, audio hq if you have it installed, creative player if you have it installed, etc. etc. A tip, i recommend only using the essentials from creative ie, drivers, surround mixer, audio hq. I never install the player, disk detector, creative taskbar and all that other crap. You will be fine after you get the updates for the components you presently have installed. Great driver btw.

I am in the same situation. After I run the updates, its a no go. Nothing but uninstall and reinstall and these darn drivers take forever to install.

After you update the drivers you then have to go back to the same creative page and dl the update for each component you have installed so it will work with the new driver ie: audio hq, creative taskbar, surround mixeer.
