The drive bay that comes with the platinum version raises some questions for me. I may order it tonight. The headphone, Microphone and firewire port connections and any other connection it has. Do these have to be plugged into the mobo connections? Does the drive bay options just plug into the Audigy sound card ports and the PCI bus takes care of it all or what? Since my other fire wire slot is full it is a concern for me. I would think that headphone and mic are taken care of by the PCI bus since onboard audio has to be disabled anyway.
 
You run a cable from the Front Panel to the sound card itself. For all the audio connectors, its just like plugging into the back, except its now in the front. As far as firewire goes, the card itself is also a firewire adapter, giving you additional ports. No need to use anything on your motherboard besides a PCI slot.
