Yes, as in the topic summary..how do I improve audigy 2's performance? Can I somehow flash it to ZS version and if so how should I do it??

I doubt you can flash it to the ZA version as the ZS version has more outputs, and a higher signal to noise ratio. Should have just spend the $20 extra bucks and gotten it the real way

unless you are using good quality speakers/headphones, surround sound, or something like EAX in games, i doubt you would hear much difference anyways. if none of these things apply to you, you shouldnt have bought the soundcard anyways, imo.

I have the ZS and it's a bit Hissy. And it's not the speakers, because when the PC is off the HISS goes away even at full volume.

Sell it on ebay for $60 (65?) and get a new one. The differance will end up costing you $30. Just 10 more than what you may have ended up paying. But if it were me, I would stick with what I have; because the two cards (za & zx) are almost identical to the original Audigy(1) 5.1

I tried it and it works. Now I am able to use graphic equalizer + DTS Neo6 options , also have the THX Setup Console and few other options available only with Audugy2 ZS... worth to try!!

There is a improvement in sound quality when I am listening CD's or MP3 especially when using the Stereo Surround option. Also the Crossfading along with Graphic Equalizer work fine , which is supposed to be exclussive to Audigy 2 ZS. The only con is that i still don't have the 7.1 support!! Not really sure if the DTS:Neo6 works I will keep you updated on this one:)
