Audigy 2 ZS problems

The game I am trying right now is World of Warcraft.

The game should support EAX since it's listed here: http://www.soundblaster.com/eax/gaming/gamelist.asp

I have a problem with my Audigy 2 ZS where if I try to play a game with any EAX effect such as Environment, Adv. Equilizer or anything related to EAX it will disable all of my sound completely upon loading of the game.

Another weird thing is I can't open the Creative Graphic Equilizer during games either.
I get this error: The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit.

If I put No Effect for EAX it will work fine. IF I load up the Audio Console while the game is ALT-Tabbed, no presets appear in the Active Preset lists.

This occurred when I had mine too. I believe it is normal as all effects should be off when using EAX in game.

Now I have noticed that CMSS3D is also disabled when loading games. This defeats the entire purpose of using this thing. No EAX, no CMSS3D in games that are suppose to support it, do I have a defective card or what?

No, you just don't understand it.

You are enabling EAX in games. therefore you do not need to apply extra EAX effects outside the game. They are already there.

CMSS3d only needs to be applied with games that are in stereo. If you are selecting a surround sound configuration and 3d audio with EAX in games, you are already getting surround sound and there would be no point to CMSS
