Audigy 2 ZS mod

Ok here is the scenario, the Audigy 2 ZS is the exact same card that comes with the platinum version with that drive panel thing, does anyone know if there are any guides or anything to plug either an optical or coax audio port on to the connector on the card to make it work without having to have that drive panel thing? or is the controller for the optical and coax ports on that drive panel?

sorry i own the card but i've no idea how to do that, have u tried 3dss or hydrogenaudio forums ? maybe ppl there can lend u a hand.

Optical would require additional electronics. Coaxial just requires connecting a cable (common video cable or whatever) to the appropriate pins for signal and ground. listen.to/sblive has guides for cables, then you just need to find out which pins.

Google is a wonderful thing... Audigy 2 SPDIF IO.

My card is in the mail, but I want to get the front and back stereo channels (minijack format?) off of those ports to get them to my newq platinum without the backplate... never used S/PDIF before... any idea how I'd do that?
