Audigy 2 ZS digital out stopped working

I've been struggling with this problem for a few days now and I haven't been able to find any info online, or figure it out on my own. I recently purchased a PC and chose the Audigy 2 ZS for my sound card. Through some research online I learned that using a small Radio Shack adapter I could hook up my receiver through the digital out. I had everything running smoothly, I purchased BeyondTV and started using my PC as a PVR, watching my favorite shows on my TV with amazing picture and sound, in the comfort of my living room. I was very impressed and extremely happy with my setup.

The other day I went to go watch something and I was getting video but no audio. First thing I did was check to the settings in the Audigy control panel and everything looked fine to me. I checked the hook ups both on the back of the my PC and my receiver and that's all fine. I thought maybe it was the cable so I hooked it up from my DVD player to my receiver and it's ok too.

So now I'm stumped, and that's where you guys come in. If anyone has had this problem before or can think of anything else it may be, please help.

If you need more info on my system setup, configution, software, etc., let me know.

Thanks,
J

I just went and bought a new adapter, but that didn't solve the problem 🙁

Is there any way a program that I've installed could knock out the port or cause a conflict somehow?

Any other suggestions?

I guess just uninstall the card and all the software and reinstall it. That's the best thing I can think of.
