Audigy 2 ZS Card Not Recognized

Last night I received my Audigy 2 ZS (retail) soundcard. I disabled the onboard drivers of my nForce 2 (Biostar model M7NCD) motherboard and installed the card in an open PCI slot. Unfortunately, the card is not recognized by Windows XP (ie the new hardware has been installed dialog does not come up). I have installed the card in each of my 5 open PCI slots, but to no avail. After each restart, Windows still does not see the card. And, when I try to load the Creative drivers, the program states that the device is not installed, leaving me with quitting the program as the only choice.

What do you think this problem could be? Am I missing something painfully obvious here?  I am not super-savvy with Windows, but this entire process seems pretty self-explanatory to me, and I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, if anything. I don't want to give up on the card just yet, because there is a very real possibility that I have overlooked something or have done something wrong (especially if it has to do with playing around in the BIOS).

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sarah

Try to diable the onboard sound in the bios, its usually under integrated peripherals. If that doesnt do it, you got a tits up card (dead)
