audigy 2 zs and winamp 2

whats the best way to listen to mp3s?
i hate using creative's player.
if i use winamp (i still have version 2, newer versions r so overloaded with features i never use), would i still get the benefits of pops n click removal n other features that audigy card boasts?

pop and click removal is not a feature, just a way to lower the sound quality.
