Audigy 2 worth it?

Was offered a Audigy 2 for $15. Is it a bit difference from onboard and is there any issues with Gigabyte DS3 boards?
 
Which model? Probably the value model.

For that price, YES it's worth it over onboard sound. I'd snatch it up, and I don't even need a sound card right now.
 
I went from my onboard Azalia HD audio to an audigy 2 ZS and even on my 2.1 logitech z2200's I could hear the difference. And for that price you can't really go wrong.
 
Yes - it is worth every penny against your on-board sound device. I put an Audigy 2NX (USB External) on my laptop, and it sounds like a big system (through good speakers.)
