I just recently got an audigy 2 plat. Pro and I love it! I think that there might be something wrong with the card though:

1) Every so often I will hear static from my speakers

2) When I use Cubasis, I get pops when adjusting some settings. Also, every so often, I will get this 'fuzz' and have to quit and re open the program

3) Call of Duty slows to a CRAWL in heavy fights when eaz 3 is enabled!

4) Some of my settings in the speaker setup NEVER stick!

If anyone could help me out that would be great!

For the time being I have switched to KxProject Drivers... fixed my problems on my Audigy 2 Plat Pro but appears I sacraficed positional sound for it.... Nothing like running around on the hills in Joint Ops w/ your knife/machete hunting for snipers and the sound is coming from one way on the speakers but the HUD Radar saying the shot came from a different direction. Well its better then no sound which is what I had w/ the crappy audigy drivers.

Ok....another ANNOYING PROBLEM that happens!!!!

EVery so often, my audigy will make this STUPID beeping sound for like 10 seconds then stop. 5 minutes later it will come back again. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING!!! Is there a problem with the card you think?

Creative cards have their pros and definitely have their cons, but I have the same card and have never had any of the problems the OP is describing with his.

OP, did you install the drivers from the CD? There are newer ones out, you can download them from the Creative site and install them. Further, do you have onboard sound? If so, have you made sure it's disabled? Did you install it on a fresh copy of windows? If not, what was your sound solution before? Have you uninstalled any/all old drivers?

A bad card is also a remote possibility; every company has their lemons, though most get filtered out before shipping.
