Audigy 2 Platinum front drive not working

While I was using my computer and listening to music, my front bay just stopped working on my audigy 2. I can't input anything or listen to anything through the headphone port. I tried reinstalling the drivers, I checked the cables, and I looked at the chips. It all appears functional, and it's still receiving power (optical out is still giving light off). Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, no conflicts listed. I've tried different sets of headphones and microphones, but nothing works. They all work if theyre hooked up to anything but the front bay, though. Maybe there's something wrong with the cable.

You've probably already checked this, but - Is anything muted in the surround mixer? I've tried recording guitar by plugging into the front panel line-in jack, and sometimes, for no apparent reason, the corresponding line-in volumer slider goes all the way down and there's an red X thru the little speaker icon...so I move that volume slider back up and click the X and it works again :::shrugg:::

What program were you using for playing music?
