Audigy 2 + DTT2500 = ok?

You know how creative likes to group their speakers with sound cards. Saw hot deal on Audigy 2, was wondering if it's good with my speakers. NE1 got this combo working?

I dont know about this combo, but when it comes to sound the Audigy 2 cant be beat. I say get it!

I see there's a new version of Audigy2 out, that's the reason for this pricecut. The question is...should I go for the new version or stick with the old?

i used to have the dtt2500 but you cant get true 5.1 gaming with that speaker system. Everythign else should work ok..

Do you know which sound card will deliver true 5.1 gaming for my speakers? thx

i dont think any soundcard will because of the way the speakers were designed... but you should double check.. i remember posting about the same question a long time ago when i owned the same speakers at the forums on 3dss and that was the answer they gave me. IMO, 5.1 gaming isnt that big of a deal having made the switch to from the 2500 to the dtt3500.
