Hello,
The Antec Sonata comes with an audio front panel, including a headphone jack. I want to use it instead of pulling out my Cambridge Soundwords speakers jack from the back of the computer and swapping in the headphones. Is there any way to connect an Audigy 2 to the front panel of a Sonata case? The Sonata manual states that the audio connectors use something called the "Intel standard 10-pin connector", with 7 individual pins you can use as well. Googling that phrase reveals that only Sonata owners seem to use that "Intel standard".
The only thing I have found is that I can add an Audigy 2 Drive to the 5.25 bay, and connect that via the AD_EXT pin connector on the Audigy 2. That would be fine, but I can't find a Drive for sale anywhere. Creative no longer makes them (no doubt wanting me to upgrade to the X-Fi Platinum). Is there any other way to make the connection work ?
Thanks,
BM
