Audi S4 B5...???

V6 twin turbo.

it only puts out 250 hp? is this thing insanely underrated, or did they keep those turbos at super low pressures?

cuz thats not much power at all from a v6. especially with TT.

but i want one.

very small turbos (K03 turbos), sequential boosting. Not much lag, but definitely not that much horsepower. A lot of S4 guys will change out the turbos for bigger ones for more power (at the cost of more lag).

Hehe I agree that natural aspiration is the better solution, but the B5 S4s (with the 2.7 twin turbos) can be modified at a small cost to output a very large amount of horsepower.

that is what ive heard, a chip can boost power up about 80hp?

Yeh, but it made it's max torque at ~1900RPM's. That's better than a lot of V8's.

Plus as was mentioned, they were small ones that spooled up fast for less lag. Still a very quick car with A LOT of room for modifications.

A chip is the cheapest and easiest way to increase horsepower. Depending on the chip (different tuners set different boost levels, for instance), you can get 50-80hp increase for around $400-500. An exhaust will help too, as will intake (for maybe 20hp for the combo). But a bigger investment in a FMIC and larger turbos will give you gobs more horsepower, although I'm not familiar with the costs involved (I'd guess somewhere around $4000-5000).

Yep. N/A cars put out a lot of power stock, but smaller engines with turbo and a few modifications (chip, intake, exhaust) will put up a fight

to bad i have my 9-5 and insurance on the S4 would be like insane for a 19 year old.

maybe if i have another major problem wiht my 9-5 ill get it fixed and sell it and pick up an S4.
