Audi Quattro Concept First Drive

And it is a true manual? Awesome. :awe:

I love just about everything about this car:

less than 3000 lbs, 400hp turbo, elegantly simple interior, hatchback, butch and ridiculous exterior. Love it...if only I could afford one if they do in fact produce it like the article suggests.

I was reading the article and I was loving it, but I didn't get the fact why they would produce this car with spec resemblance to the TT RS line. Then I saw the price. I'm sorry Audi, while I can't bash on this masterful piece of work, the price is ridiculous. I think I would just buy the original Quattro and a M3/GT-R to call it a day if I want both speed and a little retro toy car.

honestly, with its low weight, i'd wonder how well this competes against the V10 R8. sure the R8 has 500hp, but it's much heavier, too - 700lbs more.

Even if it doesn't compete with the V10 R8, there are good amount of vehicles for $150k people could choose over this car. How about comparing this to a GT-R? It is really overpriced for a piece of "tradition" along with the car.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this car's design from every angle.

It weighs a lot less than a TTRS...or a R8 for that matter, and it has more horsepower than a TT-RS. The engine is similar to the TT-RS, but it has been changed layout wise which is naturally going to change components.

The weight savings alone through use of high end materials justifies the cost in my mind. The fact that it has an awesome body, great interior, relatively "practical", and some cool tech (headlamps are really neat) makes it well worth the $150K if I was in the market for a car in that price range.

Oh yeah...and they will likely make less than 1000 of them if they do make them...so it will hold its value for sure unlike that R8, GT-R, etc.

It looks like a Scion FT 86 to me.

I am glad Audi is focusing on making cars lighter, but the price for basically STI performance is ridiculous.

PLZ to have. And no way it should be priced as low as 50K. It is at least a 100K car.

Either you're being facetious or you have no clue what you're talking about. The STI wishes it was half as good.

Nice, but yeah price . . . wow. Chevy should really make something like this. Stuff the 6.2L in it and call it a day. Or make a really crazy model and stuff the LSA in it. lol

I think the front is too angular though. The headlights should be horizontal like the taillights, and more rectangular, vs looking like that Scion/Lancer/etc
