Audi making good on promise to bring five-door A3 Sportback to States

I like the styling all-around, but why is this expected to cost $25g before options?
I have to wonder how many people wouldn't just drop another 1k to get the A4.

Hmm, which VW is that based on?
A3, which shares a chassis and some powertrain parts with the new Volkswagen Golf, arrives in May 2005 at about the same time parent company VW graces us with its Golf, which has been on sale in Europe since the end of last year.

No AWD? WTH?

I'll be looking for a new car then and would definitely have considered it if had AWD.

I'm sure there will be the Quattro(4WD) version like here in Europe.

AWD comes in the second year along with the 3.2L engine. First year we are stuck with the 2.0T and FWD 🙁

Argghh, give us an A4 coupe already!

Looks like a golf yes, but still a good looking car. I think it looks better then the golf. It is kinda expensive though. Wonder how much the awd 3.2 liter will cost.

Oh, didn't read the article 😉 But yeah, that's a dumb move, shipping the 3.2L in the 2nd year.

 garbage, just like BMW's 1 series and Mercedes' craptacular hatchback. Who wants to spend luxury-brand money for a "luxury-exonobox"?
