Hi

A quick question that google kind of answered -

Are all ATX12V PSU's downwards-compatible with ATX?

Provided they have a 20-pin or "20+4" pin main connector, yes. The only difference between the ATX12V standard and the "regular" ATX standard before it is an extra 4-pin connector (which provided 12 V) used by Pentium 4 and later some Athlon XP (and even later, Athlon 64) motherboards.

Most supplies now offer compatibility with the newer 24-pin connector, but usually in the form of "20+4" connectors that separate into two pieces for backward compatibility with 20-pin motherboards.

also, thare is 8pin eps (if i am correct thats how its pronounced), witch is a 12 volt and i believe 5 volt connection


But pretty much the same internally
