I did this crazy mod where i put three power supplies on toggles switches, which also go to a master switch which turn all of them on.
If I just turn on my switch, everything turns on, but i dont get a display until i hold the normal case switch in for a few seconds. If I put the case swich on my main switch too, will it work? Or is it a contact switch, like it only touches for a second then releases where mine is a toggle that stays connected until i turn it off.

Anyone with any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
david

You need the green wire from each PSU to be connected to a ground connection in order for the PSU to stay on. What mod did you do to have them all stay on?

i know about the green (14) to a ground (15), that's how my switches work, thing is, even though the psu's turn on, the computer doesn't until i hit the contact switch that goes to the mother board. do you understand what i'm talking about?

ask specific questions if i'm still not making myself clear.

thanks

why was this thread moved?
it seemed highly technical to me, and no one seemed to know in this forum.

Highly Technical is more theory, not "how do I do this?"...

Anyways, my guess is that even though the motherboard has power, it doesn't turn on. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the main PSU be connected to the motherboard in the traditional fashion, and then have one if it's spare supplies (like for a HDD or something) power a relay which then turns on the other 2 PSU's?
