atx desktop cases

whats the biggest desktop? Are desktop much poorer at cooling? was thinkig the enlight 7200 from dertron would like the width to be more though, know of one. can't find antec destops anywhere they still make?

Are you referring to: Directron ?

In general, ....... ATX tower type cases are:

More convenient to access components.
Better design for cooling components.
Less space required for use.
More popular for custom builds.

Palo Alto makes an ATCX case model that converts to either a tower or desk-top model.

Perhaps with a flat screen LCD Monitor, it will again become popular to place the monitor on-top-of a desktop pc ........ ?
My 22" CRT is much too heavy for that .......... !

I have an Antec desktop that I used for my wife's PC, because, given the space she had, I could fit a printer on top of it which otherwise there wouldn't have been space for. It's a very solid, well-built case, but there's no question that a comparable mid-tower has more efficient use of space, is easier to work in, and has much better cooling.
