Looking for an ATX cube case to stick my current build in so I can reuse my current case for my new build. I want a cube case as I will be using this computer for a pseudo-HTPC, and want my setup to look symmetric. From left to right, I have my Klipsch SUB-12, left monitor speaker, TV stand with center speaker and receiver, right monitor speaker, and the cube computer will be next to that. I don't care so much about airflow, I will probably return the i5-2500k to stock and the GTX 970 doesn't use much power at all... What's out there for me to check out?

How big of a cube do you want, how much do you want to spend, and do you care about looks? The Cooler Master HAF EVO XB gives you a pair of front hot swap hard drive bays, two 5.25 bays, and decent fan options. That said, looks wise it doesn't exactly blend in with most HT setups. Personally I'd go with one of Silverstone's HTPC oriented cases. I'm currently using a Silverstone GD07B to house my HTPC which is running a 3770k and GTX970 coincidentally.

I have a lot of room, for reference the sub is 18"H x 15"W x 20"D: http://images.klipsch.com/Sub12sheet_635042119669090000.pdf

I will try to post a picture of it tonight, to give an idea of the space available... I don't want to spend a ton, just something that looks nice and holds my old computer parts. Looking on Newegg, there are a few cheaper options...

anidees AI-07B - This one is flat black like the sub, don't like the LEDs so hopefully they can be turned off.

anidees AI-Crystal-Cube-Lite - This one is glass, which is ok. Looks pretty nice, but basic.

meanit 4PM-BLK - I really do like this one, just not sure if its worth the extra money over the $75 anidees.

I did take a look at the HTPC-type cases, not a huge fan of those... Plus, my center console area is pretty full, so not much room for anything else in there. I think the cube case on the end will look right.

Here is what my setup looks like now...

The cube case will be replacing the tower on the right side. I have plenty of space, and will eventually clean up all the wires. Maybe I'll keep an eye on some of the more popular ATX cube cases for a good sale...

I decided to get the HAF XB Evo, cheap enough after the rebates and should get the job done so I can move my new built over to my old case.

It might not match the sub, but I might move the sub to the open side and put the computer in the corner that is hidden by the couch/endtable.

i really like that anidees AI-Crystal-Cube-Lite...

i think paired up with good led ring fans, that thing may look really sharp....

I only wish however it was a horizontal mount like the HAF and Core x9.

I think i would of however gone with a 4U rack tho in your case and situtation like a rosewell..

They should be about the same width of a stereo amp.. or close to it, since they all use the near standard size.
And if you really want later on you can just rack tower your amp and PC together in something like this to make that area cleaner...

you dont need to use rails.. u can just use rack trays to hold the pc and amp up....

yeah i know but they would work in his situation....

and they dont scream like Dell's and Supermicro's....

Until you try to rack them and find out you either have to ground down the handles or leave 1U of space open both above and below it. Also, for the record, they're no quieter with their stock crappy fans than the R610 I had.
