ATX / Asus p2b-f problems

I have a strange problem.
Enlight 7273 atx case, p2b-f mb, celeron 366.
I actually have two of each. Having some problems freezing/hanging, trying to isolate why. I don't understand why the following happens.
Case A, MB A, Cel A works fine. If I take MB A & Cel A and put it in case B, it doesn't boot. Then I move it back to Case A, and now that doesn't boot! I am close to pulling hair. I have actually been able to use Case B earlier today (flashed a bios to see if that would help), but can't use it any more.
I feel it is sometype of reset needed, but the mb doesn't have a reset, and neither does the case..
Any suggestions?
Problem is that something is messed up on either a mb or a powersupply. I had one computer that was hanging/freezing.
Anyway

Have a look to see if anything metal is in contact with the motherboard in the wrong place.....it could be shorting it out.

I read your post this morning and thought what a stupid suggestion.
I built 3 more of these earlier exactly the same way and didn't have any problems.

But...I have spent a lot of time and thought to give it a try, so I isolated the motherboard using an antistatic bag, and it boots.
Gosh darn good suggestion.
Still have some other issues, but you were right. The Enlight 7237 standoffs aren't brass, so they conduct, but it also could be the atx faceplate..Still trying to figure out where, but at least I am working a defined problem instead of a random occurance (irony with nickname wasn't planned..)

Thanks again..

Properly placed standoffs, no matter what they are made of, will not short out the board.

Well, I had 6 standoffs, each fit a hole in the p2b-f motherboard.
All I did different is to take one of those felt washers and put it on the screw before inserting it, and now the motherboards boot & run fine.

To be total accurate, the standoffs were not the problem, it was the screws going into the standoffs that were the problem.

I don't much care, he resolved the problem for me...

Thanks to all..
