ATX 300W PS for P4 mobo and Duron/Athlon mobo

My current system is terribly outdated - 700 Duron. I want to upgrade to a better one. Is is possible to get a P4+mobo combo and swap out the current Duron+mobo? I want to use the rest of the current system, maybe update to DDR. I heard (cound be wrong) that the voltage or something else for P4 mobo is different from Athlon/Duron.
